
Daniel James Clarke is a British travel writer and photographer (currently based in Portugal) who has written for media companies and publications in the UK and internationally. His work spans guidebooks, features, online and print articles, alongside an extensive photography collection and occasional video production (and presenting). He is a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers.

Having lived in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Australia, and New Zealand and spent extensive periods in various countries, I am confident in writing about many destinations based on extensive prior knowledge, alongside accepting commissions to new destinations. Over the previous few years living in Portugal, I’ve become established as The Azores destination expert for The Times and a Lonely Planet author for Portugal. I am additionally studying for a Level 7 Diploma in Journalism from the National Council for the Training of Journalists (UK).
